Being Predictable

Isn't this always the way? You buy a season pass to say Skiing?  No snow!
I bought a season Pass this year as years before for the Provincial Parks we like to go to, and BAM! it's rained almost every other day since.  Predictable right?

I bought groceries for the kids to eat? "I'm hungry! there's nothing to eat" Predictable!

I finally get comfortable with turning on the new Radio station in town with my kids in the house all summer? BAM! they start airing distasteful commercials with beeped out swear words or start discussing the legalization of Pot, and Swapping wives, if they had a long lost twin? ugh!!! I really should have known better. Responsibility is really lost on the general public.  Predictable! Mess up a good thing again.

So here's my blah blah blah on all these.


Rain? Stop!!!
Snow? if you must in the winter, when we expect to go sliding skating and skiing, and snowshoeing.
Grocerystores? make food more affordable. I just forked out 210. this week before getting all the meat and yogurt and milk and bread.
Kids? at what I give you not what you want. I don't care that you think you can predict how that chicken will taste because I made chicken last week? TRY it! I swear I changed it.

As for language. Yes I have been known to swear, but it's not something I'm proud of, and it's not something I want to hear from impressionable children of the world. It looks bad, sounds bad, and is not funny at all. It's not funny to hear a 4yrold say "son of a ..." or "F this or that" or "S...." when they drop a toy.  If we can all clean up our language and our expectations of the world out there, maybe we can raise a world that cares more about how others feel. Consideration for others is not predictable in this world. It's not. 

And I've got older kids who I will correct if I hear them talk with such disrespect to the people they are talking to or about.  I am the parent I will correct them.It's a hard job when all the adults around them are not acting with any form of respect for each other.  Parenting is hard. Anything worth doing is usually hard.

Respect, a word that needs more respect!
